Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for Wuthering Heights, Emerald Fennell’s new adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
Written, directed and produced by Fennell, the film reworks the Gothic romance around Cathy and Heathcliff, with the trailer leaning hard into the story’s sensuality, intensity and destructive pull. Robbie stars as Cathy, with Elordi as Heathcliff, and the footage makes it clear this version is aiming for something feverish rather than restrained.
Alongside Robbie and Elordi, the cast includes Hong Chau, Alison Oliver and Shazad Latif, with Adolescence breakout Owen Cooper also appearing as a younger Heathcliff. The project marks Fennell’s latest feature following Promising Young Woman and Saltburn, and already looks set to be one of next year’s more talked-about literary adaptations.
For CultureCues, Wuthering Heights looks like a bold, highly stylised take on a story that has never exactly been short on passion, with Fennell once again leaning into atmosphere, desire and emotional mess.
Wuthering Heights arrives in cinemas on 13 February 2026.
